The Stylist's Rail @ BIRTHDAYS

I'm a bit of a wheeler-dealer at heart, a wannabe-white-van-man always looking to make a bob or two. So when my friend Hydes suggested getting a stall at The Stylist's Rail clothes sale at BIRTHDAYS I was IN.

Run by a sweet girl called Plum, on the first Saturday of each month, this is one pimped up jumble, with great 'pre-loved' items from the likes of Topshop right through to Moschino - all at bargainous prices. Needless to say, having gone with the aim of selling my clothes (and streamlining my life), I wound up replacing each sale with a new item from someone else's rail.

The next sale is on 4th May, so book your spot now if you're looking to sell. Otherwise, just head on down, grab a beer from the bar and tuck in - I doubt you'll leave empty-handed.

Dress Obsessed

It's not often that I see an item in a mag, search it out online, call customer services when I can't find it and then write the date it will be available in my diary when I find out it's not out yet. But for some reason, this Mango dress had me hooked.

Sundress from Mango - £22.99

Maybe it's the dip-dye feel floral pattern, maybe it's the sunshine yellow, either way - I was a woman on a mission.

And now, with a sigh of relief, it's ordered and winging it's way to my open arms.

I want to wear it with these...

Nars matt red lippy (Vesuvio), Dominic Jones Verona ring and KG Medea sandals

Now I just need this rain to eff off.

Having shot the 1989 campaign together, here model and photographer are reunited with an ever glamorous outcome and arguably an even more beautiful Schiffer.

Fourth & Main

Last night saw the launch of the British menswear and lifestyle brand Fourth & Main. Created by Jamie Wright and Nikhil Adwalpalkar, the brand offers up a beautiful collection of classically cut clothes along with a bi-annual journal that aims to give upcoming actors, artists, musicians and writers a space to show their wares.

The party was a good'un - held at The Bargehouse on the South Bank, the warehouse was filled with a mix of city boys and the achingly cool, but the vibe was great. We drank G&T's (definitely more 'G' than 'T') and ate oysters served with a tobasco kick.

There's a real sense of celebration in the journal - from the physical weightiness of the mag itself to the beautifully curated images and design: it really is a thing of beauty. I spent much of my journey home, face buried in it's pages inhaling the delicious smell of fresh print.

The journal will be distributed at select boutiques and cultural institutions around the world. There is also a pop up shop opening on Newburgh Street in Soho from 2nd April for a limited period selling their Spring/Summer collection - for more info see our friends at London Pop-ups.

Fourth & Main - Vol.1 Issue. 1

If last night's guestlist is anything to go by (Mario Testino was cutting some fine shapes on the D floor) - Fourth & Main could very well be on its way to becoming the epitome of cultural cool. I know what I'll be reading in the park on lunch break.
